LUKE GYGAX is the son of Dungeons & Dragons co-creator Gary Gygax and Founder of Gary Con®, a memorial convention held annually in Lake Geneva in honor of his father, Gary Gygax, the co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons (garycon.com). Luke literally grew up at the gaming table with the designers that built the foundation of the RPG industry. He played the iconic character Melf, aka Prince Brightflame, whose name has remained on spells from AD&D to today. He also play-tested numerous iconic AD&D modules and games such as Star Frontiers, Dangerous Journeys and even Cyborg Commando, as well as created creatures like the bullywug all before he graduated high school.
Luke has authored several role-playing game accessories over his lifetime including Legion of Gold, The Lost City of Gaxmoor, a Call of Cthulhu module set at Gary Con® and recently The Oculus of Senrahbah series in The City of Chentoufi in The Blighted Lands© of the World of Okkorim© fantasy setting. Luke is working on new Dungeons & Dragons scenarios for his fantasy setting, The World of Okkorim© through his new company Gaxx Worx. He is excited to launch a new series of fiction novels set in Okkorim with co-author James A. Hunter in March 2024. Luke is active in the Los Angeles gaming community, participating in streaming D&D games, interviews, and hosting informal chats at Luke’s Lounge on Twitch.tv/GaryConLive. Look for Luke’s appearances at fine conventions around the country as he promotes tabletop gaming through exciting live play sessions.
