Army Man Project, Veculta
Rudy Flores is an artist from Tucson, Arizona. He is currently working on the tenth year of his project called the Army Man Project. He has 3D scanned and 3D printed nearly 700 people to be made into figures inspired by army men toys. The toys reflect the careers, hobbies, cosplay or any interest of the participant. The project is based around community building and large-scale exhibits. The figures are part of an ongoing, always growing series called Tiny Tributes which is now a permanent part of the Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures located in Tucson, Az. Rudy is also a digital sculptor and has produced many creatures for exhibits and toy production. He has a background in illustration and is currently working on a graphic novel called Mosca Roja. He also illustrated the book cover series dedicated to life in the Old Pueblo called A Little Tucson Book, inspired by the Little Golden Books. Rudy will be releasing Book of Beast 2 at the con this year. The zine includes creature concepts for toy production and story development. Rudy will also have records, CDs, and art related to his band Veculta.
