Army Man Project
Rudy Flores is an artist from Tucson, AZ. For the last nine years, he and his wife have worked on the Army Man Project: An initiative to 3D scan and print figures based on real people in the style of classic army men toys. They’ve scanned nearly700 people to be turned into toys, reflecting their careers, hobbies, cosplays, or interests, showcasing our unique community The figures are part of an ongoing, always growing series called Tiny Tributes which is now a permanent part of the Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures located in Tucson, AZ.
Rudy is also a digital sculptor and has produced many creatures for exhibits and toy production. He has a background in illustration and is currently working on the graphic novel Mosca Roja. He has provided covers for the Little Tucson Book series, detailing life in the Old Pueblo inspired by the Little Golden Books. Rudy is co-owner of the sticker production company Hex and Hew, which gives him and his wife the opportunity to work with local artists, businesses, and bands.
