La Mano del Destino, La Voz de M.A.Y.O.: Tata Rambo, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
J. Gonzo is a Chicano comic book artist best known as the writer and artist of his own title, La Mano del Destino, self-publishing singles himself and collected editions through Image Comics. He is also the artist of La Voz de M.A.Y.O.: Tata Rambo (Top Cow/Image Comics) and provides covers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other indie titles. He attended the Orange County High School of the Arts’ Visual Arts Program and went to a terrible trade school for a degree in Graphic Design. He also apprenticed and tattooed professionally for a number of years before entering the world of advertising and design. Gonzo has spent over 30 years using his creative skills at ad agencies, toy and comic companies, design studios, freelancing, and creating his own comic books.
