We’re pleased to announce 4 new comics guests for Tucson Comic-Con 2019!

JIM MAHFOOD aka Food One has been working as a professional comic book artist and freelancer since 1997, amassing an impressive cult following across the globe. Highlights of his career include art chores on Kevin Smith’s CLERKS comics, his creator-owned titles GRRL SCOUTS, LOS ANGELES INK STAINS, CARL, THE CAT THAT MAKES PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICHES, and MARIJUANAMAN and MIAMI VICE: REMIX, both in collab with writer Joe Casey.

HENRY BARAJAS is a Latino author from Tucson, AZ. He is best known for his graphic memoir about his great-grandfather Ramon Jaurigue, titled La Voz De M.A.Y.O.Tata Rambo. He has contributed to anthologies that benefit mass shooting Route 91 victims and The Southern Poverty Law Center such as Where We Live and The Good Fight. Currently, Barajas is the Director of Operations at Top Cow Productions—and he lives with his roommate’s cats Ophelia & Morticia in Los Angeles, CA.

DAVID “ARTASSASSIN” HARRIGANhas been a freelance illustrator for the past 20 years working on a very wide range or projects from book covers and comic book work to t-shirt and Frisbee design. He is currently working hard for Coffin Comics doing cover work for Lady Death, Hellwitch and La Muerta. He has also done cover work for Zombie Tramp, Vampblade, Amalgama, Patriotika, Harpies, The Changeling, Hardlee Thinnand Naughty Fairy Stripper Assassins.
He is also working on his own creator owned title called Breastiary, which launched earlier this year.

HE’S BACK! JOHN ANTHONY CHIHAK SOLTERO is a Tucson native who is heavily inspired by comic books, music (mainly punk rock) and professional wrestling. Infamous for his gritty and edgy work in Fuzzyface and Youth in Asia, he has become more at home expanding the Anti-HeroVerse in an organic manner with his most personal project The Bubba Patrol, a story about his dogs as super heroes.
His work continues along the ever evolving path as the Straight Edge Anti-Hero of independent comic books. John’s favorite characters are Nightwing, The Punisher, Deathstroke and Superman,but his favorite superheroes are his dogs, The Bubbas.
